About Me

My Name is Brooke Lynn, or Brookie. I'm a mom to three cute, rowdy boys, three dogs, a mousing cat and a leopard gecko. We keep things pretty busy and mostly covered in dirt. Heres a little bit about how I got started and where things really sunk in for me.

When I was 18 I packed up and took a familiar trip to Washington state like most summers yet this one was a bit different. I went to take care of my great grandmother and when doing so I bought my first canon camera. On my few days off I would venture into the woods of priest point park and photograph things like the light flickering off the ferns moist from a small rainfall, and light peaking through the trees. It was such a soft place to go to when dealing with life's heavy ventures. The camera transcended me to a place where wonder was free. I'd like to think I've been chasing that ever sense.

Photography has been such a healthy way to connect to people and emotion. I work really hard to keep it that way. The one thing I keep at the forefront of my work is how sacred it is to have space to honor yourself, and have that space captured.
